Good evening WG Families and Caregivers:
I hope you had a great first week of the new year. Though challenging, I am extremely proud of our students, staff, and community as we persevere through these uncertain times.
This was one of our more challenging weeks as we are learning to adjust the evolving regulations related to COVID-19. I want to thank everyone who stopped by the high school to pick up at-home test kits this week. Many were handed out. We have a few left over. If you would still like a test, please contact the appropriate Main Office.
We have received the following one-page FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) document from Schuyler County Public Health, which provides the most current updates related to quarantine.
In addition, with the increase in home testing, Schuyler County Public Health has created an online reporting portal to report a positive at-home test. It can be accessed via their website at www.schuylercounty.us. To report an at-home test, click on the top banner COVID-19 Response, scroll to the section that is titled “Get tested for COVID-19” and the third bullet has the link for self-reporting. After you complete a self-report in the portal you will be sent an isolation notice right away. The direct link can be found here https://hipaa.jotform.com/213637339654059.
Please know that these updates are rapidly evolving. It is likely that there will be changes on Monday. I am informing you of what we know on January 7th at 5:15PM. If there are significant changes, I will let you know as soon as possible.
Thank you for your commitment to helping keep our students and staff safe and healthy, as well as helping to ensure we can remain open for in-person student learning.
Go Senecas!
Respectfully,
Kai D'Alleva Superintendent of Schools
