Good afternoon WGCSD Families and Caregivers!
I hope you had a great week!
We are preparing for an exciting week in our District. It has been over two years since we had a true spirit week and homecoming festivities. We are very happy to offer these opportunities to our students, and we hope they have memorable experiences!
Update: Though still challenging, this week was better than last week. We have now over 30 positive cases District-Wide since the school year started. Many of our positive cases are now recovered and back in school.
The NYS COVID School Report Card system is now working. The link to it can be found here https://schoolcovidreportcard.health.ny.gov. Click on “Public Schools”, type in “Watkins Glen”, and a list will drop down for you to select both building specific and district level data.
Come work for us!!
As a reminder, we have MANY full-time and part-time employment opportunities available for members of our community.
There are many advantages to working for our school system including:
- Investing time and energy in our most valuable resource, our students!
- Our family friendly atmosphere
- A team-oriented work environment
- Following the school calendar
- Following the school schedule
- Flexible schedules including 1st and 2nd shift availability
- New York State Retirement Benefits
- Paid Training

- Getting paid to watch sporting events
If you have any interest in joining our team, we would love to have you! Please contact Ms. Renee Angle in the District Office at 607-535-3220.
On SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23.2021, we will be holding a WGCSD specific Job Fair. Representatives from Human Resources, Instructional Leadership, Transportation, Operations & Maintenance, Food Service, Athletics, and Schuyler County Civil Service will be on site to answer all questions. We will also be having School Bus Test drives available for anyone interested in testing their driving skills.
As always, thank you for your continued support and cooperation!
