Computer Based Testing

This year, the ES will be administering New York State tests by computer. Rest assured that our students will be well prepared. Students take the STAR academic achievement test by computer, multiple times yearly. Students also participate in technology and computer classes in order to promote technological literacy and prepare them for an ever- changing world. Testing Windows

Grades 3-8 English Language Arts Test - March 24th - March 31st

Grades 3-8 Mathematics Test - April 20th - April 27th

Grade 4 Science Test Performance - May 18th - May 29th

Grade 4 Science Test Written - June 1st

These assessments are valuable because they measure student achievement according to NYS Next Generation Learning Standards that have previously been taught. The data that the district receives from the state allows us to focus on areas of deficit that we can strengthen through staff professional development and programmatic changes. A higher volume of participation provides more reliable and valid data. As the testing window dates approach, you will receive a district specific testing schedule.
